The elderly population and the issues of these segments which are on the agenda of the developed countries have come to a point where the developing countries cannot remain indifferent. Because of increasing elderly population and problems unveiled as a result of this situation, developing countries as our country are seen unprepared to cope with it. Elderly population increases significantly compared to the past in Turkey. The elderly population of our country is around 8%, in 2050 will be over 20% and in 2075 is estimated to rise about 28%. 60 years later, about one-third of the population of Turkey will constitute aged 65 and over. At this point, it is quite obvious that particularly nursing homes come to the fore. In this study, mobility over time of the elderly population in Turkey, the importance of elderly in the society, the position of nursing homes in the country, and finally some applications need to be addressed for the well-being of the elderly in nursing homes will be investigated.
