В разное время у тюркских народов цветовое обозначение имело большое значение. В цветовой символике тюркских народов особое значение имели следующие слова названия цветов: kara – «чёрный», ak – «белый», gök – «синий» или «зелёный», al, kızıl – «красный» или «алый», sarı – «жёлтый», boz – «серый» или «сивый». Цветовая символика может видоизменяться. Например, обозначение сторон цвета: красный или белый – юг, чёрный – север, голубой – восток, белый – запад. Цвета в тюркских языках существуют преимущественно в следующих значения: физическая характеристика, ориентир, суша, земля, материк, сила, могущество. Названия цветов в тюркских языках часто используется как первый элемент словосочетаний, обозначающих этнонимы, топонимы, антропонимы. Большое значение в изучении названия цветов в тюркских языках имеют словари разного периода и тюркские памятники.
Colours have a great importance of human's opinions, feelings and language. Turkish is very rich with words that Express colors whether in oral literature or written literature. These words also take place in Turkish dictionaries and monuments and have rich semantic properties. Although there are valuable researches in Turcology on the semantic, functional and grammar properties of these color nuances with concrete examples, this issue needs to be handled more deeply by separate methods. In this article; White, red, black, yellow, sky, dun, chestnut colours were also noted and tried to clarify this topic.
