Abstract:

In this study, the aim is to investigate how much crisis management system is applied in small and medium-sized enterprises operating in the field of forest products in Düzce province. The work universe is formed by the forest products that operate in the Düzce center and districts. During the study, 43 forest products registered in the Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Düzce province were reached through the survey method. This study with business decision makers (managers) has been studied how operate crisis management systems and measureed the level of knowledge about crisis management. According to the results of the work, the participating are operating in the field of furniture, sheet and crossing/parking. It is estimated that 76.3% of the companies under the work framework are exporting. The results of the study have found that the Düzce forest products industry have not done an effective crisis management work and have not sufficient knowledge of crisis management.
