Bütün dünya Covid 19 salgını sebebiyle zor günler geçirmektedir. Pek çoğumuz ilk kez böylesine büyük bir salgın belasıyla karşı karşıya kaldık. İnsanlık tarihi salgın hastalıklarla doludur. İnsanoğlu defalarca gözle göremediği bir düşmanla savaşmış, milyonlarca kayıp vermiş, ama her defasında da düşmanı yenmeyi başarmıştır. Bu salgınların belki de en bilineni ve en yıkıcı olanı “kara bela”, “kara ölüm” de denilen veba’dır. Bütün dünyada görülen veba ya da taun Osmanlı Devleti’ni özellikle de İstanbul’u defalarca etkilemiş ve pek çok insanın ölümüne sebep olmuştur. Sosyal meselelere duyarsız kalamayacak olan şairler de bu belayı eserlerinde işlemişlerdir. Vebaya dair şiirler yazan şairlerin bizzat kendileri ya da yakınları bu beladan etkilenmişler, hatta hayatlarını kaybetmişlerdir. Bu şairlerden tespit edebildiklerimiz; Abdülkerim Efendi, Arşî/Çâkî, Birgivî Mehmed Efendi, Âsım/Âsımî, Mütercim Seyyid Ahmed Âsım Efendi, İmamzâde Hâfız Mehmed Emin Âtıf Efendi, Mehmed Atûfî Efendi, Âzim, Bakî/Sünbülzâde Abdülbâki Efendi, Cevdet, Devletî, Edibî, Es’ad-zâde Seyyid Mesûd Efendi, Fahrî, Kerimzâde Fâ’iz Abdullah Efendi, Fehîm-i Kadîm, Mevlânâ Ziyâeddîn Hâlid, Mirza Abdüssettâr Hâlis, Mehmed Hayret Efendi, Hayretî, Hıbrî, Hıfzî, Kudsî, Mâdih, Me’âbî, Hoca Sa’deddin Efendizâde Mehmed Efendi, Molla Ahmedzâde Mehmed Çelebi, Mûnis Harezmî, Nuh Necîb Bey, Emir Ahmed Efendi, Niksârî-zâde Kadı Mahmud Efendi, Niksârî-zâde Kadı Mehmed Efendi, Şeyh Seyyid Hasan Nurî Efendi, Re’fet Mehmed Azîz, Re’fet Mehmed, Hoca Sa’deddîn-zâde Mehmed Reşîd Efendi, Mustafa Reşîd, Revnak, Sa’dî Çelebi, Mirza Hüseyin Sâlâr, Şâmî, Şem’î, Sükkerî, Tâyib, Zâkî, Ahmed Zamirî Efendi, Zîver, Fuzulî, Müttakî, Sun’î Çelebi, Ümidî, Ziyaî, Muhlis Dede, Rezmî Bahadır Giray, Devlet Giray Han, Bora Gazi Giray Han, İkinci Gazi Giray Han, Abdülbaki Efendi, Seyrek-zâde Mehmed Âsım, Mehmed Hamid Bey, Lâzikî-Zâde Feyzullah Nâfiz, Fevzî, Nehcî, Azmî, Âşık Çelebi’dir. Şair tezkiresi yazarları vebadan ölen şair ya da yakınını anlatırken, vebanın fiziksel, sosyal ve psikolojik olumsuz etkilerinden, vebaya çare olabilecek ilaçlardan ya da uygulamalardan, vebadan ölenin şehit sayıldığından da bahsetmişler ve bir açıdan da tarihe tanıklık etmişlerdir. Veba Allah’ın takdiri olduğu için kabullenmeli, yardım etmesi için de Allah’a dua edilmelidir. Benzer bilgileri şairlerin divanlarında yer alan konuya dair şiirlerde de tespit etmekteyiz.

The whole world is experiencing difficult days due to the Covid 19 epidemic. For the first time, many of us have experienced such a great epidemic. The history of humanity is full of epidemic diseases. The man has fought many times with an enemy that he cannot see, lost millions, but every time he has managed to defeat the enemy. The most well-known and devastating of these epidemics is the "black illness", also called "black death". The epidemic, seen throughout the world, has repeatedly affected the Ottoman State, especially Istanbul, and has caused the deaths of many people. Poets who cannot be sensitive to social affairs have also done this problem in their works. Poets who write poems about Vebaya themselves or their relatives have been affected by this trouble, and they have even lost their lives. Mankind repeatedly fought an enemy that he could not see, lost millions, but was able to defeat the enemy every time. One of the most well known and most destructive epidemics is the plague called “black trouble” or “black death”. This plague has affected The Ottoman Empire, especially Istanbul, and caused the death of many people. Poets who cannot be insensitive to social issues have also committed this scourge in their works. The poets who wrote poems about plague, themselves or their relatives were affected by this disease and even lost their lives. The poet tezkire writers were witnessing the history by writing about the poets or the relatives who died from the plague. They also talked about the physical, social and psychological negative effects of the plague, the drugs or practices that could cure the plague, and that the dead person was considered a martyr. The plague must be accepted because it is the discretion of Allah, and one shall pray to Allah for help. Similar information is found in poems in the divans of the poets.
