Abstract:

The method of language science that divides the units that make language into two levels of addiction and studies the elements (sound units) that make the second level of addiction according to the connections of the first level of addiction (sensory units) is called functional language science. The branch of language science that studies the sounds of the language with this approach is called the functional sound science (phonology). According to functional sound science, the smallest unit of the language is the sound units (phoneme) that perform the function of distinction of meaning. But in some languages there are also units such as emphasis, toning, stop, which have a little or a lot of meaning distinctive function and remain outside the sound units. These phenomena, which are considered over-party in language studies, are generally referred to as biro and are becoming increasingly important as a field of sound science. In this study, the objective is to discuss the function of the general facts in Turkish and to make some assessments in this direction.
