Teachers’ immediacy examines new ways to identify important traits and teachers’ communication practices develop valuable insights into malleable qualities that positively improve students’ Mathematics performance. This study attempted to link immediacy behaviors and communication practices among junior high school teachers to students’ performance in the K to 12 Mathematics education of the local divisions in the Philippines. The descriptive survey and correlational methods of research were used with the aid of the questionnaire checklist and documentary analysis technique. Data were drawn from the 1,311 students of randomly selected Mathematics classrooms from the three local divisions under study. The students perceived that teachers’ immediacy behaviors were occasionally observed while teachers’ communication practices were much practiced. However, immediacy behaviors and communication practices did not link students’ fair performance in Mathematics. This concluded that students’ performance was not translated by the immediacy behaviors and communication practices of their teachers. Importantly, students should be diligent enough on their studies, be resourceful and be an explorer to get better grades in the subject.
