Primary malignant melanoma of the nasal cavity and paranasal sinuses rarely occur and have a poor prognosis. 5-year survival rate approximately is 20 %. Their common presentation is a unilateral nasal pathology that is seen commonly in elderly patients. They are equally seen in both sex. Because their clinical presentations are nose bleeding, nasal obstruction and pigmented polypoid nasal mass they can resemble a pyogenic granuloma of the nasal septum. The treatment is surgery, when the cases are operable.
