Abstract:

The sport, which is constantly changing and developing, has strengthened its characteristic of being universal with the development of technology, the advancement of science and the increased interest in sport. This process has been influenced by ice hockey industry like other sports branches. In the main source of the change process, concepts such as sports health, the increase of the audience and marketing are on the forefront. The ice hockey sport, which emerged in the early 19th century, spread its universality to the world with the participation of many countries. Because it is an Olympic branch at the level of World Championships and Winter Olympics in the international field, it has more players and audience in many countries than other sports branches. The aim of this study is to study the historic process of ice hockey sports in the international field. In the research, the data was obtained from the quality approaches through the general scan and documentation method. In literature, ice hockey is expressed as one of the fastest and hardest team sports in the world, with 5 players on the ice with 1 stone, the goal of the game is to finish the game with a goal within the game rules by making the pack, called the game ball superior in the technical and tactical sense. While there is not a lot of scientific studies on ice hockey sports in our country, many aspects of the industry in the international field have been processed with a deep deal. As a result, in the historical process, sports materials, facility sub-structure information, organizing processes have been evaluated. It has been seen that national and international organizations and support for the development of sport have increased interest in the industry in such a way that ice hockey sport will cover all age groups and is increasingly spread throughout the world.
