Nesne (direct object, object), cümlede yüklemin bildirdiği, öznenin yaptığı işten etkilenen ögedir ve sadece yüklemi geçişli fiil olan cümlelerde bulunur. Geçişli fiil (Alm. transtives verb, Fr. verbe transitif, İng. transitive verb, Osm. müteaddî, fi’l-i müteaddî) nesneye yönelerek onu etkileyen, nesne isteyen fiildir. Geçişli fiilin ortaya çıkabilmesi için gerekli zorunlu öge nesnedir. Nesne fiile eksiz {+Ø} veya yükleme hâli eki {+(y)I} ile bağlanır. iç- (bir şey/bir şeyi iç-), sev- (bir şeyi/kimseyi sev-) gibi. Geçişsiz fiil (Alm. intranstives verb, Fr. verbe intransitif, İng. intransitive verb, Osm. lâzım fiil, fi’l-i lâzım) gösterdiği oluş ve kılış yapana yönelen, yani özneyi etkileyen, nesne istemeyen fiildir. gel-, uyu-, yat-, kal- gibi. Bu bildiride TDK TS’de (2011) nsz (nesnesiz) olarak nitelendirilen bazı fiillerdeki geçişli kullanımlar üzerinde durulacaktır. Taramalarımız neticesinde bu fiillerin büyük ölçüde çok anlamlı fiiller olduğu dikkat çekmiştir. aç- (22, 25. anlam), al- (6, 9, 10, 19, 26, 29, 31) anlam, bırak- (2, 8, 10, 12, 21 anlam) gibi. TS’de bu ve benzeri diğer fiilleri tanıklayan örnek cümleler nesnesiz değil, belirtisiz nesneli yani {+Ø} eksiz yükleme hâllidir. belle- (1. anlam), bırak- (12. anlam), bil- (1. anlam) vb. fiiller ise nsz kabul edildiği hâlde tanıkları belirtili nesneli yani {+(y)I} yükleme hâli eklidir. alabil- (1. anlam), bas- (11. anlam), bırakabil- (1. anlam), gazla- (1. anlam) vb. fiiller nsz, -i madde başlığı altındadır. Bildiride fiil-tamlayıcı ilişkisi açısından bir fiilin aynı anlam için hem nesnesiz hem nesneli kullanımının bir arada olamayacağı hususu işlenecek, ayrıca nsz olarak belirtildiği hâlde gör- (9, 11, 12. anlam), seç- (7. anlam) gibi {+Ø} eksiz yükleme hâlli örneklerin, söz konusu fiillerle, anlamca kaynaşmış deyimleşmiş birleşik fiil oluşturup oluşturmadığı konusu da tartışılacaktır.
