So many results that aren't mine?

Abstract:

The purpose of this research is to investigate the role of passion and mental toughness determine the burnout. This study is correlation al survey desing. Sample group is consisted 55 female and 84 male by the 139 basketball players who joined Koç Spor Fest Basketball Super League Promotion Matches. “The Sport Mental Toughness Questionnaire-SMTQ”, “Athlete Burnout Questionnaire”, “Passion Scale” and “Personal Information Form” were used as data collection tools in the study. To analysis of data, descriptive statistics, The Pearson Correlation Analysis and Multiple Linear Regression analysis have been used. The results of the analysis revealed that burnout sub-dimension scores and mental toughnesss cores were significantly and negatively related to control and constancy sub-dimension scores (p<0.05). There was no significant relationship between burnout sub-dimension score sand passion sub-dimension scores (p>0.05). The results of there agression analysis how that all sub-dimension of mental toughness significantly predict sub-dimensions of burnout; which is a sub-dimension of attitude, is a significant predictor of depersonalization sub-dimension (p<0.05). However, it was found that the sub-dimensions of the attitude did not reach significance level at the level of determining the sub-dimensions of burnout (p>0.05). Inconclusion, it can be said that athletes with a high level of mental toughness will experience less burnout. So it may be suggested that athletes must be trained mentally strong to deal with burnout, which is thought to have a negative effect on the athlete and his performance.
