Abstract:

While the Social Security Institution (SGK), which is responsible for protecting the insured persons and the entire society against social risks, provides health insurance to health professionals who have contracted the Covid-19 disease due to the SARS CoV2 virus, within the scope of Law No. 5510. child-mother-father) survivors insurance acts are offered to their relatives. The actions offered by the SGK are discussed in non-governmental organizations, political institutions and academic studies. The current discussions are carried out on the axis of the importance and necessity of evaluating the rights to be provided by accepting the Covid-19 disease as an occupational disease in general within the scope of Work Accident and Occupational Disease Insurance. The aim of the study is to go beyond the current discussions and to establish an effective way to regulate the social security rights of health workers and their beneficiaries in the event that they get sick and lose their lives due to the virus, while detecting the disease, preventing and treating the disease during the fight against not only Covid-19 but also all possible epidemics in the future. and develop a permanent policy.
