In this study, the effect of pre-hole drilling on machinability properties of Ti-6Al-4V titanium alloy, which is widely used in the industry and machining operations are investigated. For this purpose, drilling tests were done with uncoated carbide drill with cooling channel. Four different cutting speeds (60, 75, 90, 108 m/min) and constant feed rate (0.20 mm/rev) were selected as test parameters. During the tests, the feed force, shear moment and temperature values in the shear region were measured. In addition, roughness values of the drilled surfaces were determined. As a result of the evaluation of the obtained data, it was seen that the cutting force, cutting moment and temperature values generally decreased with increasing cutting speed. Changes in cutting speed did not cause much change on surface roughness values. In the pre-hole samples, the feed force, moment, temperature and surface roughness values were lower.
