Ekonomik büyümeyi tetikleyen bir mekanizma olarak savunulan dış ticaret, iktisat literatüründe birçok çalışmaya konu olmuştur. Küreselleşen dünyanın gerekleri doğrultusunda ülkeler arası ticaret etkileşimlerinde artışlar yaşanmış ve dış ticarette serbestleşme yoluna gidilmiştir. Dış ticaret kalemleri ihracat ve ithalat işlemlerinden oluşmaktadır. Dış ticarette temel hedef ihracatı arttırmak ve ithalatı kısmaktır. Bu doğrultuda dış ticaret politikaları oluşturulmuştur. Türkiye ekonomisinde dış ticaret politikaları 1980 öncesi ve sonrası olmak üzere iki farklı döneme ayrılmaktadır. 1980 sonrası dönemde ise ihracata dayalı liberal politikalar uygulanmıştır. Bu çalışmada ihracat ve ekonomik büyüme ilişkisine değinilmiş ve Türkiye ekonomisinin 2000-2019 yılları arasındaki ihracat ve GSYH verileri kullanılarak ekonometrik analiz yapılmıştır. Veriler arasındaki nedenselliğin yönünü belirlemek için Granger nedensellik testi yapılmıştır.
Foreign trade, which is defended as a mechanism that triggers economic growth, has been the subject of many studies in economic literature. In line with the needs of the globalized world, increased international trade interactions and the way to liberalization in foreign trade. The foreign trade policy in the Turkish economy is divided into two different periods, before and after 1980. In the 1980s, liberal export-based policies were implemented. This study focused on the relationship between exports and economic growth and the economic analysis of the Turkish economy with the use of exports and GDP data between 2000-2019 years. The Granger causality test was conducted to determine the direction of causality between the data.
