In the risk society defined by Ulrich Beck as the science, media and information society, the presentation of information contains risks within itself. In this context, the presentation of news has become more important in Internet newspapers, where the rating concern is motivated instead of the principle of social responsibility. In this context, the aim of the study is to question the validity of disaster news presentation methods of Internet news sites and the understanding of social responsibility in news production during the Covid-19 pandemic. Dec December 2019- April 2022 in the period of Covid-19 pandemic in the study, the news published on the websites of the relevant newspapers on the Internet sites of Odatv, Mediaradar and Internethaber internet news sites were analyzed by the content analysis method. In the study, which is important in terms of revealing the approach of Internet journalism to disaster news, a total of 2,375 news stories were subjected to quantitative and qualitative content analysis. As a result of the study, it has been found that Internet newspapers related to news messages that cause concern to society adopt a publishing approach that is far from the understanding of social responsibility. It is assumed that this situation is caused by the political economy of the media.
