Çömlekçi Çarkı (seramik tornası) endüstriyel ve sanatsal nitelikli seramiklerin üretiminde başlıca kullanım aracı olma niteliği taşımaktadır. Aslında seramik deyince halk arasında akla ilk gelen şeyin çömlekçi çarkı olması bu aracın geleneksel seramikle özdeşleştiğinin de bir göstergesi sayılabilir. Seramik üretiminde son derece önem arz eden bu araç, temel kullanım tekniklerinin yanında her seramik sanatçısı ve zanaatkârı tarafından da kişisel tarzda ve yöntemlerle kullanılmaktadır. Böylece de her kullanıcısı kendi üslubu ve yöntemlerini ona yansıtmış olur. Bu çalışmada silindirik yüksek formların seramik tornasında kişisel tarzda şekillendirilme süreci aktarılmıştır. Ayrıca bu yöntemde karşılaşılan güçlüklere değinilerek, çözüm yolları üzerinde durulmuştur.
The steam wheel (ceramic tower) is the main utility in the production of industrial and artistic quality ceramics. In fact, when it comes to ceramics, the first thing that comes to mind among the people is that the steam wheel can also be a indicator that this vehicle is identified with traditional ceramics. This tool, which is extremely important in ceramic production, is used by every ceramic artist and craftsmans in personal style and methods, in addition to the basic uses techniques. So each user will reflect his own style and methods to him. In this study, the process of personal forming in the ceramic torn of cylindrical high forms has been translated. In addition to the difficulties encountered in this method, it is focused on the solutions.
