Günümüz dünyası baş döndürücü hızla değişmektedir. Bu hızlı değişime rağmen bazı kasabalar yavaş değişmekte, mevcut yapısını ve statüsünü korumaktadır. Muğla İlinin Köyceğiz Kasabası da değişimin yavaş olduğu kasabalardan biridir ve mevcut yapısını, tarihsel statüsünü, kültürel dokusunu korumaktadır. Köyceğiz tarihsel süreç içerisinde tarım, ticaret, eğitim, idari gibi alanlarda merkez konumunda olmuştur. Ancak 1980 sonrasında daha önce kendisine bağlı olan iki yerleşim yeri Köyceğiz’den ayrılarak ilçe konumuna gelmişler ve hızlı bir değişim sürecine girmişlerdir. Köyceğiz kasabası bünyesinde hızlı değişme potansiyellerini barındırmasına rağmen kendi ihtiyaçları doğrultusunda tabii ve yavaş bir değişim süreci yaşamaktadır. Bu çalışmada Köyceğiz’in yavaş değiştiği varsayımından yola çıkılarak Bu Köyceğiz Kasabasının yavaş değişiminin altında yatan temel dinamikler araştırılmıştır.
The world of today is changing rapidly. Despite this rapid change, some cities are slowly changing, preserving their current structure and status. The Village of Muğla is also one of the cities where the change is slow and preserves its current structure, historical status, cultural textures. Our village has been in a central position in the fields such as agriculture, trade, education, administrative. But after 1980, the two settlements that were previously connected to him departed from the village and came to the district position and entered a rapid process of change. Despite its potential for rapid change within the village, it lives a natural and slow process of change in accordance with its needs. In this study, starting from the assumption that the village is slowly changing, the basic dynamics under this village's slow change have been investigated.
