Abstract:

Together with Tanzimat, with new kinds that began not to enter our literary tradition from the West, a new period in our literature has begun, named in the form of the Turkish/Modern Turkish Literature in New Turkish/Western Thesis. In this period, new literary species and forms began to be used, but the first products of these species were sometimes the form of creating new subjects with the old forms and sometimes the form of creating new species around the old subjects. The Turkish flow is one of the most important representatives of the National Literature period and of the New Lisan movement, Omer Seyfettin, of this period and of the purely language understanding. The topics of the works of Omer Seyfettin were taken from different periods and different sources of Turkish culture, and directly took advantage of the examples of the Turkish People's Literature narrative type. One of the most beautiful examples of his folk culture-based works is the story of "The Without Faith Without Faith". Basically a "cutting head" legend, which is widely told among the people, has entered the history book, which has been described by the historical events of the 16th century and prepared by Pechevî, and from there in the 20th century it has become a literary story in the pen of Omer Seyfettin. This article will focus on the importance of Turkish People's Culture products in the creation processes of literary works. The story of Omer Seyfettin, "The Untouched Witness", will be discussed in the framework of the historical work that leads to him and the relationship between the book of history and the literary work will be attempted to be revealed. The story of Omer Seyfettin will be founded with the main lines related to the origin of the "cutting head" stories, but there are similar and detailed studies on the subject will not be made a broad comparison.
