Purpose: in our clinic to evaluate the ethical distribution of the phenomena we apply to pars plan vitrektomy PPV.Reasons and methods: Inönü University Turgut Special Medical Center Eye Diseases Anabolic Department in January 2014-December 2018 files of patients who have been performing PPV surgery have been evaluated retrospectively. The patient’s age, gender, additional surgical trials, primary and recurrent PPV indications were recorded.The findings: 813 eyes of 750 patients, of which four hundred twenty-six percent were men and 330 percent women, were included in the study. The average age of cases was 57,17±17,05 years. PPV was the most frequently broken retina decolm applied due to YRD 36.5% and proliferative diabetic retinopathy PDR 31.6%. A hundred eighteen favourite revisions of PPV were applied and the most frequent revisions of 76.3 percent of retina decomposition were the cause of PPV. Nexus retina decomposition was most common in 50.9% of the eyes due to broken retina decomposition and 12.7% due to PDR complications. In 19.8 percent of the eye participants, vitreoretical surgery was carried out due to vitre bleeding and/or tractional membranes, in 9.7 percent for tractional retina decomposition and in 2.1 percent for PDR complications such as epirethal membranes. The result: Broken retinal decomposition and proliferative diabetic retinopathy are the most frequent PPV indications, while the most frequent revision of the reason for PPV is null retinal decomposition.

Objective: To evaluate the etiologic distribution of the cases who underwent pars plana vitrectomy PPV at our clinic.Material and Methods: The files of the patients that underwent PPV surgery between January 2014 and December 2018 at the Department of Ophthalmology of İnönü University Turgut Özal Medical Center were evaluated retrospectively. Patients' age, sex, additional surgical interventions, and the primary and recurrent PPV indications were recorded.Results: The 813 eyes of 750 patients consisting of 420 males 56% and 330 females 44% were included in the study. The mean age of the cases was 57.17 ± 17.05 years. PPV had been performed most commonly due to rhegmatogenous retinal detachment RRD 36.5% and proliferative diabetic retinopathy PDR 31.6% . Revision PPV was performed in 118 eyes and recurrent retinal detachment 76.3% was the most common indication. Recurrent retinal detachment occurred most commonly due to rhegmatogenous retinal detachment in 50.9% of the eyes and PDR complications in 12.7% of the eyes. Vitreoretinal surgery was performed due to PDR complications such as vitreous hemorrhage and/or tractional membranes in 19.8%, tractional retinal detachment in 9.7%, and epiretinal membrane in 2.1% of the eyes included in this study. Conclusion: Rhegmatogenous retinal detachment and proliferative diabetic retinopathy were the most common indications for PPV, while the most common indication for revision PPV was recurrent retinal detachment
