Abstract:

The aim of this study is to study the effects of pre-born training, physiotherapy and psychotherapy-based interventions on fears and concerns related to the process of birth in pregnancies. In the last trimester of the pregnancy, the candidates were taken to work with non-born mothers. The participants were first examined by a specialist psychiatrist, then the participants were applied Wijma Birth Forecast/Experience Scale (W-DEQ), Beck Depression and Beck Anxiety Scale (BDI and BAI) along with the sociodemographic data form. After that, these persons were informed about physical and mental disorders that may occur before and after the birth in three separate sessions, each of which lasted 60 minutes, and the exercises that could be done to facilitate the birth during the birth, and the questions were answered. The average age of the group was 27.2 ± 3.6. The pregnancy week was an average of 35.7±2.3. In the relationship analysis there was no connection between the socio-demographic characteristics (age, income level, education level, etc.) and the W-DEQ points. The first assessment of the W-DEQ score (W-DEQ 1) and the BAI score have been determined in a positive direction. In the Wilcoxon test analysis, taking into account the points that participants obtained from W-DEQ, there is a statistically significant difference between the pre- and post-training points in all points, including the total scale points. As a result, pre-born education has been found to help reduce negative thoughts about birth in pregnancies in the last trimester.
