Linder’in Tercihlerde Benzerlik Hipotezine göre kişi başına gelir düzeyleri birbirine yakın olan ülkeler daha çok ticaret yapma eğilimindedirler. Bu çalışmada, Türkiye’nin ihracat verileri için Linder hipotezinin geçerliliğinin, Türkiye’nin en çok ihracat yaptığı 17 ticaret ortağı ülke ve 1990-2019 dönemini içeren bir panel veri seti için bir panel veri çekim modeli yardımıyla test edilmesi amaçlanmıştır. Yapılan panel Dinamik OLS tahmin sonuçlarına göre Türkiye’nin ihracat yapısı Linder hipotezini desteklememektedir. 1990-2019 yılları arasında Türkiye ile ihracat ortakları arasındaki gelir farkının, Türkiye’nin bu ülkelere olan ihracat düzeyi üzerinde anlamlı bir etkisi bulunmamıştır. Partner ülkenin gayrisafi yurtiçi hasılası ve nüfusu, Türkiye’nin o ülkeye ihracatını olumlu etkilerken reel döviz kurunun anlamlı bir etkisi gözlemlenememiştir.
According to Linder’s Similarity Hypothesis, countries with income levels close to each other tend to trade more. This study aims to test the validity of the Linder hypothesis for export data of Turkey, with the help of a panel data drawing model for a panel data set that includes the 17 trade partners countries where Turkey exports most and the period 1990-2019. The panel Dynamic OLS estimates that the export structure of Turkey does not support the Linder hypothesis. The income difference between Turkey and its export partners between 1990 and 2019 has not had any significant impact on the level of exports of Turkey to these countries. The non-profit domestic revenue and population of the partner country has not been observed a significant impact of the real currency rate while Turkey’s exports to that country have been positively influenced.
