Abstract:

Purpose: The purpose of this research is to identify the difficulties that nursing students experience when preparing nursing care plans. Study Plan: This study is a identifying type of study conducted with 52 nursing students who take the Nursing Process course in the 2015-2016 academic year and are volunteer to participate in the research and are registered in the second class. In the collection of research data, the method of fishing was used. Students were asked to submit the causes of the difficulties they suffer when making a maintenance plan on the fishing shell diagram under the four basic titles of people, method, material and environmental determinations and this as a semester task. The SPSS 20.0 program was used to evaluate the data, and the results were given as a number and percentage. Results: The study found that student nurses experienced difficulties related to humans, methods, materials and the environment in the creation of patient care plans. Related with "People" the lack of knowledge of the difficulties 58,18%, the difficulty in communicating with the patient 47.27%, the failure of the patient to inform the student 44.2%, the high expectations of the teachers 12.73%, the attitudes of the clinical nurses 29.09%, the difficulty in relating to the "methode" the lack of knowledge in the analytical thinking skills of the nursing students 29.09%, the difficulty in communicating with the patient 27.27%, the difficulty in relating to the "material" the long and comprehensive data collection forms used in the clinical application 23.63%, the strongness in relating to the "environment" and the clinical environment are not used in the plan of maintenance. Results: While the areas where nursing students have trouble creating a care plan differ, it is believed to be beneficial in the effective use of nursing plans in the clinical environment and in the implementation of arrangements to make it easier for students to learn.
