Abstract:

Individuals with disabilities represent a significant portion of the population at risk of social exclusion due to barriers to full participation in society. In an effort to address this social issue, İŞKUR has initiated employment coaching services within the framework of active employment policies. This research is a qualitative study aimed at examining the employment processes of individuals with disabilities, including their job search, active participation in the labor market, and success in the workplace. Specifically, it seeks to evaluate the contribution of Disability Employment Coaching programs to these processes. The study was conducted with a total of 13 participants, including 4 females and 9 males. Data were collected through interviews and analyzed in detail using MAXQDA qualitative data analysis software. The findings of the study indicate that communication issues and social skill deficiencies resulting from educational gaps can lead to challenges in job search processes, interviews, and workplace relationships. The results of the research emphasize the positive contributions of employment coaching programs to the employment and retention processes of individuals with disabilities, highlighting the significant role these programs play in these processes.
