Since 2005, starting with a pilot application in our country since 2011 implemented in the Ministry of Health hospitals in the diagnosis related group (DRG) will give rise to a significant pool of data. In this study, an annual DRG data in 4 hospitals in selected cases of COPD patients undergoing demographic, clinical and financial aspects aimed to evaluate.In the study, three in 2011 under the Ministry of Health Chest Diseases and Thoracic Surgery Training and Research Hospital for Chest Diseases and Thoracic Surgery Training Hospital, and one who is treated in all cases of COPD are used as the data source of the universe. A year who have received a diagnosis of COPD in the DRG data were analyzed. Cases assigned to this group sex, age, average length of stay, discharge status, case mix index, relative value and the amount of reimbursement to be made to the hospital were compared.COPD cases in terms of gender in women 28%, men 72% seen in, in terms of age about 61% of age 65 and over can be seen, COPD DRGs between the E65B drg’s 55% of the incidence of the most common cases of COPD, which is all COPD cases the average length of stay was 8.1 days for hospital reimbursement in the relative frequency of the diversity of values and diabetes are directly affected by the DRG case-mix index, and with the positive correlation between the amount of reimbursement that have been identified.In health care DRG datas, the reimbursement system more just and equitable funding model used as a purpose, along with the patients comparable grouping, specific bed needs, hospital case complexity, treatment in resource consumption, human resource planning and other terms of parameters analyzed and decision support systems constitutes an important source to be used. Diagnosed cases of diabetes as well as other associated groups in the analysis, development of policies at the macro and micro base is expected to contribute significantly
