Abstract:

The need for a accounting unit in almost every field increases the importance of accounting training. Economic developments require professional members equipped in parallel. Professional high schools also hold an important place in the educational system because they are the institutions where basic education is provided in the accounting field. Professional training is a very important task in providing the intermediate element that the industry needs. Therefore, the courses given in professional training must meet the industry’s expectations and educate the demanding conditions. In our study, approximately 1,400 job ads on the work.gov.tr and kariyer.net sites were studied and the requirements sought in the accounting professional elements at high school graduate level were determined. The courses offered in accounting training and the requirements they are looking for in the professional elements of the industry are compared. It was also tried to determine how much the courses given were taught by students.
