Bu araştırmada Ondokuz Mayıs Üniversitesi Tıp Fakültesi'nde eğitimlerine devam eden, meslek hayatına atılmalarına az bir süre kalan intern hekimlerin hastane ortamında uğradıkları ya da tanık oldukları şiddet davranışları ve hekime yönelik şiddetin önlenmesi konusundaki düşüncelerinin araştırılması amaçlanmıştır. Kesitsel nitelikteki bu araştırma, 01-30.Eylül.2013 tarihinde Ondokuz Mayıs Üniversitesi Tıp Fakültesi'nde eğitimlerine devam eden intern hekimlere gönüllülük esasına göre gözlem altında anket uygulanarak yapılmıştır. Araştırmaya 161 intern hekimden 139'u (%86,3) katılmıştır. Araştırma öncesinde Tıp Fakültesi Dekanlığı'ndan gerekli izinler alınmıştır. Elde edilen veriler paket istatistik programı (SPSS 20.0) yardımı ile değerlendirilmiş, sayı ve yüzdelikler şeklinde sunulmuştur. Katılımcıların yaş ortalaması 23,79±1,23 yıl olup 75 (%54)'i kadın, 64 (%46)'ü erkektir.
This study is aimed at investigating the ideas of intern doctors who continue their training at the University of Nine May School of Medicine, who remained for a short period of time to be thrown into the professional life, about the violent behavior they suffered or witnessed in the hospital environment and the prevention of violence against the doctor. This investigation in the qualitative quality was conducted on September 01-30.2013 by applying surveys under observation to intern doctors who continue their training at the Faculty of Medicine of the Nine May University according to the principle of volunteering. The study included 139 of 161 intern physicians (86.3%). The required permissions were obtained from the Faculty of Medicine before the research. The data obtained was evaluated with the help of the package statistics program (SPSS 20.0), presented in numbers and percentages. The average age of participants is 23.79±1.23 years and 75 (54%) are women and 64 (46) are men. 43.2 percent of participants said they were violent by patients or their relatives because of their work in the clinics they worked during their study and 78.4 percent also witnessed the violence they suffered because of the profession of another doctor. The vast majority of participants (97.8%) believe that violence against the doctor is preventable and the cause of violence is also the most (82.7%) "the person responsible for the disadvantages in the health system is shown as a physician". 95.7% of intern physicians say the most important thing to do in the prevention of this violence is "reorganizing legal sanctions on violence against doctors". The fact that violence against health workers has increased significantly compared to the previous and the lack of measures taken is the common data of many studies on this subject. But it should not be forgotten that the increased violence observed in the health workplace is a reflection of the profile in society. The work done in our country is not sufficient. Research on the causes of violence and risk groups will lead to the development of more effective programmes for the prevention of violence.
