Purpose: This study was conducted to examine the correlation between self efficacy and coping skills in low vision and visually impaired individuals. Materials and metods: thirty cases low vision, thirty cases visually impaired and thirty cases people without visual impairment at the age of between 18 and 65 years, applied to Emirgan Six Point Blind Rehabilitation Center, voluntered to take part and were included in the study. Personel factors were evaluated with Sociodemografic Information Form. For the assessment of self efficacy General Self Efficacy Scale and coping skills Ways of Coping Questionnaire were used. Results: Significant differences were found in self-efficacy and coping skills between the visually impaired individuals and control group. A correlation between self efficacy and coping skills was found in low vision, visually impaired people. Discussion: Vision level also is associated with self efficacy and coping skills and self efficacy beliefs are thought to be important determinants of coping behavior. Therefore, its important to focus on individuals’ self efficacy and coping skills when creating of intervention strategy in low vision and visually impaired people rehabilitation
