Abstract:

Araştırma nitel araştırma desenlerinden, olgubilim desenine uygun olarak yürütülmüştür. Araştırmanın çalışma grubunu 2019-2020 eğitim öğretim yılı bahar dönemi Fırat Üniversitesi Eğitim Fakültesi, Sosyal Bilgiler Eğitimi Anabilim Dalı 1., 2., 3. ve 4. sınıfta öğrenim gören 180 öğretmen adayı oluşturmaktadır. Sosyal Bilgiler öğretmen adaylarının dijital vatandaşlık kavramına yönelik algılarını metaforlar yoluyla belirlemek amacıyla, “dijital vatandaşlık, …………. ya/ye benzer; çünkü …………” ifadesinin yer aldığı bir formdan yararlanılmıştır. Öğretmen adaylarının dijital vatandaşlık kavramına yönelik 132 metafor geliştirdikleri ve geliştirilen bu metaforların 9 kavramsal kategoride yer aldığı belirlenmiştir. Farklı bölümlerde öğrenim gören öğretmen adaylarının dijital vatandaşlık kavramına yönelik algıları ile ilgili metafor çalışmaları yapılabilir.

Determining The Perceptions Of Social Studies Teacher Candidates Regarding The Digital Citizenship Concept Via Metaphors

Abstract:

This study, in which the perceptions of Social Studies teacher candidates towards the concept of digital citizenship were tried to be determined through metaphors, was carried out with the phenomenological design, one of the qualitative research designs. The sample group of the study consisted of 180 teacher candidates receiving education in years 1, 2, 3 and 4 in Fırat University Faculty of Education Department of Social Studies Education during the spring term of the 2019-2020 academic year. In order to determine the perceptions of Social Studies teacher candidates regarding the digital citizenship concept via metaphors, a form including the statement “digital citizenship is like …………. because …………”, was used. It was determined that the teacher candidates developed 132 metaphors regarding the digital citizenship concept and these metaphors were involved in 9 conceptual categories. It can be recommended to conduct metaphoric studies on the perceptions of teacher candidates from different departments, regarding the digital citizenship concept.
