Abstract:

The purpose of this study is to draw out a general picture of how the practices aimed at active learning are carried out in order to structurally study the sub-graduate theses that address the subject of active learning. For this purpose, the research is designed in the scan model and the data is studied through document analysis. It creates all the theses published on the website of the Higher Education Institution (YÖK) which includes the universe of study on the topic of active learning. The research was actively sought in the thesis titles or keywords and achieved 92 theses. The data obtained in the study is coded according to the coding method included in the document analysis. Under eight subtitles (publication year, type of publication, research methods, research models, sample type, universe/sample/work group identification, research variables and data collection tools) are information about the work identity and the work content of the research. The study found that the most thesis studies on the subject of active learning were done in 2010, the thesis used more accurately quantitative methods and experimental model, the most used sample type was the target sample and the most used data collection tool was the success test.
