Abdi Paşa, 17. asırda yaşamış bir devlet adamı, müverrih, şair ve şârihtir. Enderun’da iyi bir eğitim alan, yaşadığı dönemin en önemli tarih metnini meydana getiren bu isim, şiirlerinin yanı sıra şerh türünde üç eser yazmıştır. Arap ve Fars dillerindeki manzum üç metne Abdi Paşa tarafından yazılan bu şerhler, Şerh-i Pendnâme-i Attar, Şerh-i Divan-ı Urfî ve Şerh-i Kaside-i Lâmiyye isimlerini taşımaktadır. Şârihin seçtiği üç ana metin de Türk edebiyatında çok sevilen, üzerlerine –şerh türündeki eserler de dâhil olmak üzere- birçok ilmî/edebî çalışmanın yapıldığı eserlerdir. Eserlerinde, kendisine örnek aldığı şârihlerin ismini açıkça zikreden müellif, şerhlerde birçok kaynak eserden faydalanmış, farklı görüşlere de yer vererek oldukça titiz bir çalışma ortaya koymuştur. Bu üç şerhin benzer bazı hususiyetleri vardır ki bunların başında, şârihin faydalı olma amacını güden sade üslûbu ve metni şerh etme metodu sayılmalıdır. Aslında bu durum Abdi Paşa’nın şerh konusundaki hâkimiyeti ve oturmuş üslûbunun yansımaları olarak da görülebilir. Bu çalışmada, Abdi Paşa’nın hayatı ve eserleri kısaca ele alındıktan sonra, yazdığı üç şerh, belirlenen başlıklar açısından incelenmiştir. Şerhlerin benzer, ortak ve farklılaşan özelliklerinin de netlik kazandığı çalışmada, Abdi Paşa’nın nasıl bir şârih olduğu, şerhlerini ne şekilde kaleme aldığının izlerini sürülmeye çalışılmıştır. Böylelikle onun, ilmî yönünün çok önemli bir kısmını teşkil eden “şerh yazarlığı” yönüne dikkat çekmek hedeflenmiştir.
Abdi Pasha, a state man who lived in the 17th century, is a poet and poet. Abdi Pasha is a statesman, historian, poet and commentator who lived in the 17th century. He, who received a good education at Enderun and created the most important historical text of the period he lived in, wrote three works of commentary in addition to his poems. Mentioned commentaries written by Abdi Paşa regarding poetic texts in Arabic and Persian languages are called Sarh-e Pend-nâma-e Attar, Sarh-e Divan-e Urfî and Sarh-e Qasida-e Lâmiyyeh. The three main texts chosen by the commentator are the works on which many scientific literary studies are made, including the works in the type of commentary on them, which are immensely popular in Turkish literature. The author, who clearly expresses the names of the explanatory in his works, has benefited from many sources in the commentaries and has put forward a very meticulous study by including different opinions. Theese three commentaries have some features that are similar to each other. The main similarity between them is the plain style of the explanatory which has the purpose of being useful and the text commentary method should be counted at the beginning of them. In fact, this situation can also be seen as the reflection of Abdi Pasha’s dominance on the subject of commentary and his settled style. İn our study, in which the similar common and differentiating features of the commentaries were revealed, we tried to trace what kind of a commentator Abdi Pahsa was and how he wrote his commentaries. Thus, we aimed to draw attention to the aspect of commentary writing, which constitutes an especially important part of his scientific aspect.
