Bu araştırmada, Yeni Zelanda sosyal bilgiler öğretim programıtanıtılmışve bu program ile Türkiye’de yürürlükte olan sosyal bilgiler öğretim programıkarşılaştırarak, iki öğretim programıarasındaki benzerlik ve farklılıklar tespit edilmeye çalışılmıştır. Araştırmada, varolan bir durumu ortaya koyma amacıgüdüldüğünden tarama modeli kullanılmıştır. Bu nedenle sosyal bilgiler öğretim programlarıve bu programlarla ilgili kaynaklar kütüphanelerden ve internet üzerinden elde edilmiştir. Öğretim programlarının ve kaynaklarının elde edilmesinin ardından, iki ülkenin sosyal bilgiler öğretim programlarıyapıve içerik açısından incelenmiştir. Bu çalışmada sayfa sınırlığınedeniyle Türkiye’de uygulanan sosyal bilgiler öğretim programına 4-7. sınıflar ayrıntılıbir şekilde yer verilmemiştir. Her iki ülkenin sosyal bilgiler öğretim programlarıincelenmesi neticesinde şu sonuçlara ulaşılmıştır. Yapıolarak her iki ülkenin sosyal bilgiler öğretim programları, öğrenme alanlarıkullanılarak oluşturulmuştur. Ancak Yeni Zelanda’da sosyal bilgiler öğretim programı, sosyal bilgiler süreçleri, Türkiye’de ise kavram, beceri ve değer boyutlarıüzerinden yapılandırılmıştır. Her iki ülkenin sosyal bilgiler öğretim programların incelenmesi sonucunda, kavram ve değer boyutlarıile değerlendirme sürecinin ülkemizde yürürlükte olan sosyal bilgiler öğretim programında, beceri boyutunun ise Yeni Zelanda sosyal bilgiler öğretim programının daha kapsamlıve işlevsel bir biçimde oluşturulduğu söylenebilir. Sosyal bilgiler öğretim programlarında yer alan araç-gereçlerin benzer olduklarıgözlenmektedir.
In this study, the New Zealand social information curriculum was introduced and the social information curriculum that is in force in Turkey was compared with this program, and the two curriculum programs were attempted to identify similarities and differences. In the study, a scan model was used for the purpose of revealing an existing situation. Therefore, social information is obtained through the teaching programs and the resources related to these programs from libraries and the internet. After obtaining the curricula and resources, social information of the two countries was studied in terms of curricula and content. In this study, the social information program applied in Turkey with the limitation of the page has not been included in detail in classes 4-7. As a result of both countries’ social information education programs, these results have been achieved. Through the construction of both countries' social information teaching programs, learning areas were created using them. But in New Zealand the social information curriculum, the social information processes, and in Turkey the concepts, skills and values are structured. As a result of the study of both countries' social information teaching programs, the process of assessing the concepts and values dimensions in our country's social information teaching program, and the skill dimensions in New Zealand social information teaching program is created in a more comprehensive and functional way. Social information in the teaching programmes are similar.
