Abstract:

The purpose of this project work; According to teachers, it is to determine the communication skills of school administrators. In this study, the quantitative study method was preferred. It is a study in relational screening model. The research sample consists of 200 teachers. As a data collection tool, the "Communication Skills Scale" developed by Korkut Owen and Bugay (2014) was collected. In order to evaluate the results of the applied scale, firstly, the findings related to the demographic factors of the participants were determined. Descriptive statistics were made in order to determine the averages of the answers given by the teachers to the statements about the school administrators' communication skills. T-test and one-way anova analysis were performed to determine the change in the answers given according to demographic factors. Accordingly, when the answers given to the statements in the Communication Skills Scale are evaluated in general, the employees generally believe that they are sincerely complimenting others, that they are not in a position to disturb others while speaking, and that their body language and words are in harmony while speaking. However, they believe that they are not sufficient to reflect the emotions of the events they have experienced in verbal and body language, and they are not sufficient to be intelligible when expressing their thoughts.
