Abstract:

In addition to the specific difficulties of adolescence, individual and environmental risks may lead to unacceptable behaviors that characterized as a crime of adolescence. The intention of crime of adolescents is influenced by an effort to establish the identity of the adolescent, the inability to cope with the thoughts and feelings or the need to feel autonomous, or to meet other psycho-social needs. Besides, the structure of the family of the adolescent completing his/her process of being individual, the economic power of the family, the control mechanisms created by the family and the environment, and the judgments of the social environment which is the second area that the adolescent realizes, are the factors that prepare the crime ground. The aim of this article is to investigate the definition of adolescent offence, reasons and possible risk factors for adolescent offence, cost of adolescent offence and prevention interventions.
