Penetrating oral cavity injuries constitute almost 1-2% of pediatric trauma patients despite being rarely seen in ENT physicians. They frequently seen in childhood ages especially in males and occures after falling on the foreign body which is hold in mouth. Palate is the major anatomic structure likely to be damaged after the penetrating oropharyngeal injuries. Also they can cause serious morbidity and even mortality by damaging vital anatomic structures, such as the internal carotid artery, located in the vicinity of the oral cavity. In this study we presented a 6 year old male who had falled on a wooden bar held in his mouth and injured his palate.
