Bu çalışmada Osmanlı Devleti’nde çıkarılmış son üç çocuk gazetesinden biri olan Talebe Mecmuası incelenmiştir. Talebe Mecmuası öğrenciler için çıkarılmış bir gazetedir. İmtiyaz sahibi Hikmet Arif, müdürü Ömer Kemal’dir. İdarehanesi ise Babıali Caddesi’ndeki Ali Firaz Ticarethanesidir. Talebe Mecmuası’nın kurucu ve sahipleri öğretmendir. Hedefi öğrencilere bilgi aktarmak ve çocukların vakitlerini faydalı eğlencelerle geçirtmektir. Gazetede genel sınav tarihleri ile ilgili bilgilendirmeler yapılmıştır. Okuyuculardan, özellikle öğretmenlerden, gelen yazılara yer verildiğinden ikinci sayıdaki bir kısım, okuyuculardan gelen yazılara tahsis edilmiştir. Dergiye gönderilen mektuplara cevap verilen ayrı bir sayfa da mevcuttur. Gazetenin başlıca özellikleri resimlerin/fotoğrafların sıkça kullanılması, oldukça sade bir dilin tercih edilmesi ve milliyetçi ifadelere yer verilmesidir. “Aziz Türk Çocukları” başlığı ile giriş yapılması buna örnek olarak verilebilir. İzciliğe ayrı bir sayfa ayırarak önem verildiği görülmektedir. 15 günde bir neşredileceği söylenen gazetenin iki nüshası mevcuttur ve toplam 23 sayfadır.
This paper aims to investigate the journal of Talebe Mecmuasi which is one of the last three journals in the Ottoman Empire. Published for students. The owner was Hikmet Arif and manager was Ömer Kemal. The administration place was Ali Firaz Trading House in Babıali Avenue. The founders and owners were teachers. The goal of the journal was to provide necessary information for students and to make them have funny moments. The journal announced some information about general exam dates. Texts that send by readers, especially from teachers, published and there was an additional page that covers replies to letters of readers. The main features of the newspaper are the frequent use of pictures/photographs, the preference of a plain language and the presence of nationalist expressions such as the text called "Dear Turkish Children". The journal also emphasized scouting by devoting some pages. The journal published once in every 15 days and we have two numbers of it. The total page number is 23.
