Abstract:

It is very important that the post-event process of children who are sexually abused should be designed such a way that the child can get through with minimal damage in terms of the well-being of the child, the rights of the child and the rights of the victims. The Children Monitoring Centers (CMC) were established for this purpose. At the same time, CMC need to be developed. In the study, the process that the child will experience in the Children Monitoring Center after abuse, interviews, the psychiatric support, the teamwork of the relevant professionals, the physical conditions of the CMC, the suitability of all these for the child and the positive aspects of the practices were evaluated within the qualitative research from the perspective of 52 professionals working in different institutions in the field of child abuse and presented with a multidisciplinary approach. Considering all this, ıt was discussed what can be done in order to strengthen the CMC in best interests of the child principle and many different suggestions were presented.
