Çalışmamızın konusu Emevîler’in ilk dönemlerinde Kûfe bölgesinde ortaya çıkan bazı önemli isyanların iktisadi arka planını ortaya koymaktır. Bu dönemlerde Kûfe bölgesinde baş gösteren tüm isyanları ele almak çalışmamızın hacmini aşacağından dolayı araştırmamızı ilgili bölgede önde gelen Hucr b. Adî, Kerbelâ Olayı, Muhtâr es-Sekafî ve Abdurrahman Eş‘as isyanlarıyla sınırlı tuttuk. Bu çalışmanın amacı, yukarıda sıraladığımız isyanların arka planındaki ekonomik unsurları ön plana çıkartarak hadiselerin meydana gelmesinin sebeplerini sadece siyasi unsurlara bağlamayıp, olayların meydana gelmesindeki önemli unsurlardan birisinin de ekonomik kaynaklı olduğunu ortaya koymaktır. Çalışmamız, daha çok siyasi boyutu ön plana çıkarılan bu isyanlara alışılmış bakış açısı dışında farkındalık oluşturması bakımından önem arz etmektedir. Bizi bu çalışmaya sevk eden asıl sebep esasında bu farkındalığı ön plana çıkartarak genel olarak birbirinin aynı birtakım siyasi argümanlar çerçevesinde ele alınan bu isyanların farklı boyutunu yani iktisadi yönünü ön plana çıkartmaktır. Bu çalışma vesilesiyle ele aldığımız isyanların ortaya çıkmasında değinilmeyen ya da sınırlı olarak temas edilen iktisadi sebepler geniş bir yelpazede ele alınarak bu hadiselerin ortaya çıkmasında asıl etken olup ancak göz ardı edilen bu gerçek ortaya koyulacaktır. Araştırmada hadiseler iki başlıkla ele alınacaktır. Olayların okuyucunun zihninde canlanması açısından ilk önce genel hatlarıyla hadislerin tarihi seyrine değinilecektir. Akabinde asıl konumuz olan olayların iktisadi arka planı ele alınacaktır. Araştırmamızın konusu isyanlar olduğundan dolayı mukayese, kaynak ve durum analizi, tümdengelim ve tümevarım yöntemlerine başvurulacaktır. Çalışmamızda ulaştığımız temel sonuç ise görünürde siyasi birtakım sebeplerle ortaya çıkan bu isyanların esasında arkasındaki ciddi unsurun ekonomik nedenler olduğu ve bu isyanların devlet ve toplum üzerinde ekonomik kaynaklı yıkımlara neden olduğudur.
The subject of our study is to reveal the economic background of some important revolts that emerged in the region of Kufa in the early Umayyad period. Because covering all the rebellions that occurred in the Kufa region during these periods would exceed the scope of our study, we limited our research to the rebellions of Hujr ibn Adi, the Karbala Event, Muhtar al-Saqafi, and Abdurrahman al-As'as, which were prominent in the region This study aims to highlight the economic elements in the background of the rebellions mentioned above and to reveal that the reasons for the occurrence of the events are not only related to political factors but that the main factor in the occurrence of the events is economic. Our study is important in terms of raising awareness of these revolts, whose political dimension is mostly emphasized, apart from the usual perspective. The main reason that led us to this study is to bring this awareness to the forefront and to highlight the different dimensions of these revolts, that is, the economic aspect of these revolts, which are generally handled within the framework of some identical political arguments. On the occasion of this study, the economic reasons, which are not mentioned in the emergence of the revolts that we are dealing with on the occasion of this study, will be discussed in a wide range. This fact, which is the main factor in the emergence of these events but is ignored, will be revealed. In the research, the events will be handled under two headings. To visualise the events in the reader's mind, firstly, the historical course of hadiths will be mentioned in general terms. Subsequently, the economic background of the events, which is our main subject, will be discussed. Since the subject of our research is rebellions, comparison, source, and situation analysis, deductive and inductive methods will be used. The main conclusion we have reached in our study is that the significant factor behind these revolts, which ostensibly emerged for several political reasons, was economic reasons and that these revolts caused economic destruction to the state and society.
