Abstract:

The Ehl-i Hiref-i Hâssa Organization, which we can call the Academy of Arts of the Ottoman State, has presented unique products that have reached today in many areas, from book arts, wood, textile and mining arts. There are many salary books about this agency created within the state, which are included in the Prime Minister's Ottoman Archive and are often written with the type of political writing. In these books, you can find the art branches within the organization, the names of the artists that operate here and some information about them, the oldest of these books that we can follow the process that the organization shows existence is dated H. 932/M. 1526 and the book was published by Ismail Hakkı Uzunçarşılı. The last date of the archive research that is found and the main subject of the study is H. 1216/M. 1801. This study was done with a general information about the Ehl-i Hiref Organization, the mentioned book was transcripted and the book was evaluated. At the beginning of the 19th century, the book contained 45 art branches that manufactured for the palace in different areas, with a total of 247 artists named.
