This research was carried out in order to determine health promotion behaviors of Ege University students and the factors affecting these behaviors and also to establish whether there is any difference in health improving behaviors, between students who are being trained in branches other than health and those being trained in branches related to health training. Sampling of the research consisted of total 388 students who were determined by out of contingency sampling method and who were attending to Ege University High School of Nursing, Medical Faculty, Computer Engineering and Statistics Division of Science Faculty. The research data were collected by using a survey form sociodemographic characteristics, the "Healthy Life Style Behaviors" scale and “Significance of Health” scale. For the evaluation of the study results; percentage, correlation, ANOVA and t test were applied. In the result of research, a significant relationship was not detected between the healthy life style behaviors and total scale points of students in regards to age, gender, family type, place of residence during education, section being trained for, whether there is a health complaint or chronic disease p>0.05 .
