Amaç: Bu çalışmanın amacı, hemşirelik ve diğer sağlık mesleklerine aday öğrenciler tarafından hemşirelik mesleğine bakış açılarının belirlenmesidir. Yöntem: Bir üniversitenin 2018-2019 Eğitim Öğretim Yılı Bahar Dönemi’nde Sağlık Bilimleri Fakültesi’nde okuyan 533 öğrenci ile yapılan tanımlayıcı bir çalışmadır. Çalışmanın verileri, beslenme ve diyetetik, fizyoterapi ve rehabilitasyon, hemşirelik ve sağlık yönetimi bölümlerinde eğitim gören öğrencilerden yüz yüze anket uygulama yöntemi ile elde edildi. Verilerin analizinde sayı, yüzde, t testi, Mann Whitney U ve Kruskall Wallis testleri kullanıldı. Bulgular: Öğrencilerin yaş ortalaması 20,60 yıl olup %81,2’si kadındır. Öğrencilerin, %41,3’ü hemşirelik, %23,5’i beslenme ve diyetetik, %21,8’i sağlık yönetimi, %13,5’i fizyoterapi ve rehabilitasyon bölümünde eğitim gördüğü ve %29,8’inin 3.sınıf öğrencisi olduğu belirlendi. Tüm öğrencilerin hemşireliğe bakış açısı puan ortalaması 99,8±12,9 olarak bulundu. Hemşireliğe bakış açısı puan ortalaması, sağlık yönetimi bölümü öğrencilerinin 105,0±1,6, beslenme ve diyetetik öğrencilerinin 103,1±1,0, fizyoterapi ve rehabilitasyon bölümü öğrencilerinin 102,5±1,1 ve hemşirelik bölümü öğrencilerinin 94,9±0,8 puan olarak bulundu. Öğrencilerin öğrenim gördükleri bölümlere göre hemşirelik bakış açısı puan ortalamaları açısından istatistiksel olarak anlamlı fark vardı (p<0,01). Sonuç: Hemşirelik bölümü öğrencilerinin diğer bölümlerde okuyan öğrencilere göre düşük mesleki algıya sahip oldukları belirlendi.
Purpose: The aim of this study is to determine the perspectives of nursing profession by students who are candidates for nursing and other health professions. Methods: This is a descriptive study with 533 students studying at the Faculty of Health Sciences in the Spring Term of a university's 2018-2019 Academic Year. The data of the study were obtained from the students who were trained in nutrition and dietetics, physiotherapy and rehabilitation, nursing and health management departments with face-to-face survey method. Number, percent, t test, Mann Whitney U and Kruskall Wallis tests were used to analyze the data. Nursing perspective average score is 105.0±1.6 for health management students, 103.1±1.0 for nutrition and dietetics students, 102.5±1.1 for physiotherapy and rehabilitation students, and 94.9±0.8 for nursing students. There was a statistically significant difference in terms of nursing perspective mean scores according to the departments in which the students studied (p <0.01). Conclusion: It was determined that the students of nursing department had low professional perception compared to students studying in other departments.
