Abstract:

The architectural element, called the "minare" for the purpose of promoting the exhortation, served more functional purposes in the early years of Islamism, while in the subsequent years it became an important part of the mosque architecture. In this study, the research of the minarets of the mosques and mosques in the Antalya province, district and village, from the Anadolu Selçuklu to the Republic period, the development of the minarets of Antalya in terms of architecture and decoration, and the determination of their place in the Turkish Islamic architecture. In the study, written books and periodic publications on the subject were used as first-degree source, field research was done. The photographs of the specified minarets were taken, the plans were drawn and the definitions were made. The minarets were chronologically examined. In this study, a total of twelve minars, including a monferite type, were studied in the province of Antalya, district and villages, which were built in the Anadolu Selçuklu and Ottoman period, with fourteen minars in the classical style.
