Abstract In the hospitality industry, hygiene and sanitation are very important to provide quality and healthy service, protect the health and satisfaction of guests, comply with health-related legal provisions, and reduce costs. For this, it is necessary to raise the hygienic conditions of the facilities where food is prepared and served in accommodation establishments to higher levels and to train the employees and develop their knowledge and skills. In addition, the personnel's hygiene training alone is insufficient, and the working environment must be suitable/established in hygienic conditions.  For a tourist who travels with the expectation of resting, having fun, seeing new places and seeking happiness and a joyful holiday, not only his physical needs should be met, but also his hygiene-related concerns should be eliminated. Especially those who do not want to risk their health; it is known that they prefer businesses that provide services under hygienic conditions. Thus, in addition to providing quality services and products in enterprises, competition increases and causes the sector to develop. It is seen that it plays a vital role in shaping the image of the country and promoting it. In this context, while providing environment-environment-food hygiene with "Quality Management Systems", "Hygiene Training Regulation" was published on 5 July 2013 by the relevant ministries for personnel hygiene. Personnel working in accommodation establishments are required to receive hygiene training in accordance with the regulation. In this context, the quality and effectiveness of the training given to the personnel gain importance.
