Abstract:

The purpose of this research is to study the views of primary school students who participate in the Special/Minical Mucitler TÜBİTAK 4007 Science Festival Program on the science festival. The research was carried out by close parallel patterns of the karma method. Quantitative data of the study were carried out by 578 students who participated in the science festival in primary school third and fourth classes, while qualifying data were carried out by 20 students. The participants’ quantitative data was collected with the "STEM Motivation Scale". Qualitative data is collected in a semi-configured interview form. Students observed animals, plants, heavens and other events frequently, but they pointed out that I never did to dismantle the machines in my free time. According to gender, the size of engineering has found significant differences in the benefit of male students. Science, technology, and mathematics have found a significant difference in the benefit of the fourth student. It has been shown that all dimensions have a positive relationship with each other. Students have seen the technological tools as the most interesting at the science festival. Being fun has been identified as an important reason for the desire to participate in the science festival. Students liked the game-based activities.
