The sun is the main function of human existence. As the Son of Man begins to think, he holds the Sun on everything in the universe and realizes that it is the source of life. With this understanding, the "Sun" has also influenced the birth of religious and philosophical thought. Thro history, the "Sun" was sometimes worshipped with fear of power, replaced by God, the symbol of unavailability, the existence-existence, but it has also expressed different meanings for the Turks and has become an important element of the Turkish culture. The Turkish people looked at the sun as "Kün" in the meaning of "day" as light. The light he gives, the light he gives, the brightness he carries, the height he carries, the strength he carries, the strength he carries, the continuity he is a diverse concept with all his functions in the picture, in the poem, in the photo, in the memories, in the corner writings, in the emotions. Since the years of legitimacy, Atatürk has also said "The Sun is now born from the horizon" in the phrase "The Sun is now born from the horizon" that passed in the Youth March. Ataturk himself has been closely related to the "Sun". In fact, the famous "Sun Language Theory" is exactly related to this topic. Inspired by a study by Dr. Hermann Kvergitsch, he went on the way to prove that "Sun" is the source of life and that Turkish is the main language in the world to solve the problems in the studies with the language of that period. At the time of this work was done, in 1933 he also proposed the name of the newly established sports club for those who left the Galatasaray club "Sun Sports Club". This study is not a discussion of the Atatürk's "Sun Language Theory" topic or just related to it. The study will mostly provide items such as words, writing, painting, which Atatürk expressed with "Sun".

With this understanding, the “Sun” influenced the birth of religious and philosophical thought. Although the “Sun” was perceived as a sign, symbol of existence-nonexistence, worshipped with fear, put in the place of the God, it was different for the Turkish public and became an important element of Turkish culture. Turks perceived the sun as the “day”. The “Sun” which is a sophisticated concept along with its functions such as light,shine, greatness, power and continuity is integrated with Atatürk in paintings, poems, photos, maps, columns and emotions. The “Sun” in the phrase of “The Sun is rising from the horizon now” in the Youth Anthem which Atatürk had been signing since the Constitutional Period is Atatürk. Atatürk is quite interested in the “Sun”. Indeed, “Sun Language Theory” is fully linked to this issue. Inspired from a study carried out by Dr. Hermann Kvergitsch, he tried to prove that the “Sun” was the source of language as the source of life in order to remove the problems in the studies conducted for the language and that Turkish was the main language in the world. He proposed the name of “Güneş Spor Kulübü” (Sun Sports Club) for the club which was established by those left from Galatasaray in 1933 when these studies were carried out. This study is not about discussion about Atatürk’s “Sun Language Theory” or only about him. This will mostly present elements such as statements, writings and paintings in which Atatürk is expressed with the “Sun”.
