Bu araştırma, beden eğitimi ve spor yüksekokulu araştırma görevlilerinin mesleki doyum düzeylerinin incelenmesi amacıyla gerçekleştirilmiştir. Araştırmanın örneklemini; Türkiye genelinde beden eğitimi ve spor yüksekokullarında-bölümlerinde görev yapan, yüz yüze görüşme ve e-mail yolu ile araştırmaya katılan 96 araştırma görevlisi oluşturmaktadır. Araştırmanın verileri, kişisel bilgi formu ve mesleki doyumuna ilişkin algıları ölçen mesleki doyum ölçeği (Kuzgun, Sevim ve Hamamcı 1998) ile toplanmıştır. Verilerin analizinde değişkenlere bağlı olarak t testi, Kruskal Wallis testi, Mann-Whitney U testi kullanılmıştır. Yapılan analizler sonucunda; araştırmaya katılan araştırma görevlilerinin mesleki doyum ölçeğinden aldıkları puanların aritmetik ortalaması 80,02 olarak bulunmuş ve mesleki doyum düzeylerinin yüksek olduğu kabul edilmiştir. Mesleki doyum düzeylerinin incelenmesi sonucunda ise mesleki doyum toplam ve mesleki doyumun “niteliklere uygunluk, gelişme isteği” alt boyut puanlarında araştırma görevlilerinin yaş, hizmet süresi, bağlı bulunan enstitü, öğretim görülen program, değişkenlerine göre önemli bir farklılık saptanmamıştır. Gelişme isteği boyutunda ise cinsiyetin önemli bir etkisi olduğu gözlenmiştir.Anahtar Kelimeler: Mesleki doyum; araştırma görevlisi; beden eğitimi ve spor yüksekokulu
The purpose of this study was to examine the job satisfaction levels of the research assistants at Physical Education and Sport Department in various Turkish universities. Participants were 96 research assistants from the School of Physical Education and Sport. Participants’ personal information and the job satisfaction levels were collected by face to face interview and/or email. The job satisfaction questionnaire was developed by Kuzgun, Sevim, and Hamamcı (1998). To analyze data, t test, Kruskal Wallis test, and Mann-Whitney U test were used depending on the variable type. The results of the study showed that the mean scores of the satisfaction levels of the research assistants were 80,02 and it could be categorized as high levels of job satisfaction. There was not significant difference in job satisfaction levels of teaching assistants in terms of age, working years, their institution, and their graduate programs. There was a significant difference in job satisfaction level (desire to develop dimension) in terms of gender.
