Family relationships and problems in Turkey, especially covid-19 global outbreak of pandemic and its impact on the process of family relations and issues from the perspective of young people, aimed to put forward in the study. Data collected from 1156 university students across Turkey in May 2020 and as a data collection tool the internet survey (i-survey) was used. The study population is university students across Turkey that have access to the internet in general and partial networks (personal social network) that can be accessed through. The accessible sample chosen from student that studying at any university in all geographic regions, studying in any private or public university and can access the survey. The majority studying in social sciences, in the 18-24 age range and inhabited by their family wit 94% ratio. According to the data obtained and by using descriptive statistics, during the global epidemic period, two-thirds of the families have increased communication within the family members and one-third of family relations have improved. Compared to the pre-pandemic period, the problems that have increased the most among the problems experienced in the family are discussions about domestic responsibilities, criticism of family members, arguments and fights in the family and discussions about the home economy. On the other hand, the fact that family members spend more time together compared to pre-pandemic process, it has increased communication and joint activities. In addition, there is a statistically significant difference with family problems such as insult, ridicule, threat, economic and physical violence, and variables such as gender, family type, degree of importance given to the family, family relations and communication.
