Bu çalışmada, ‘‘Cebirsel İfadeler’’ konusunun öğreti-minde yapılandırmacı yaklaşıma dayalı 5E öğrenme mode-linin 6. sınıf öğrencilerinin akademik başarısı üzerine etki-sinin incelenmesi amaçlanmıştır. Araştırma, 2016-2017 eğitim-öğretim yılının bahar döneminde Batı Karadeniz bölgesinde yer alan bir ilimizin bir ilçesinde bulunan bir ortaokulun 6. sınıfında öğrenim görmekte olan 40 öğrenci ile yürütülmüştür. Rastgele belirlenmiş deney ve kontrol gruplarının her birinde 20 şer öğrenci bulunmaktadır. Çalışmada, nicel ve nitel araştırma desenleri birlikte kulla-nılmıştır. Veri toplama aracı olarak “Cebirsel İfadeler Ba-şarı Testi” ve “Yarı Yapılandırılmış Görüşme Soruları” kullanılmıştır. Yapılan istatistiksel çalışmalar sonucunda cebirsel ifadeler konusunda 5E öğrenme modeline göre hazırlanan ders etkinliklerinin öğrencilerin akademik başa-rılarına anlamlı bir katkı sağladığı görülmüştür. Ayrıca, 5E öğrenme modeli etkinlikleri ile destekli işlenen derslerin daha eğlenceli geçtiği, ilgi ve motivasyonu arttırdığı ve kalıcı olduğu sonuçlarına ulaşılmıştır.
This study aims to study the impact of the 5E learning mode on the academic success of 6th-class students based on the teaching-minded structuring approach of the subject of "Cebral Expression". The research was conducted with 40 students who are studying in the 6th grade of a secondary school located in a district in the Western Black Sea region during the spring period of the 2016-2017 educational year. Each randomly identified experimental and control groups contains 20 sher students. In the study, qualitative and qualitative research patterns are used together. The data collection tool has been used as the "Cebral Expression Ba-share Test" and "Semi-Structured Interview Questions". Statistical studies have shown that the curriculum activities prepared according to the 5E learning model in the field of geographical expressions have made a significant contribution to the academic development of students. In addition, it has been achieved the results that the processed courses supported by the 5E learning model events are more fun, increasing interest and motivation, and that they are durable.
In this study, it was aimed to investigate the effect of the 5E learning model based on constructivist approach on the academic achievement of 6th grade students in the teaching ‘‘Algebraic Expressions’’. The research was conducted with 40 students from studying in the 6th grade of a middle school located in a province of a city in the western black sea region in the spring semester of 2016-2017 academic year. There are 20 students in each of the the randomly determined experimental and control groups. In the study, quantitative and qualitative research designs was used together. “Algebraic Expressions Achievement Test” and “Semi-structured Interview Questions” were used as the data collection tools. As a result of statistical studies, it was revealed that the lesson activities prepared according to the 5E learning model on ‘‘Algebraic Expressions’’ made sig-nificant difference to the academic achievements of the students. Also, it was found that lessons that were supported by 5E learning model activities were more fun, improved interest and motivation, were better learned and lasted longer.
