Harran’ın tarihî İpek Yolu üzerinde bulunması nedeniyle, ticaret adamlarının yanında bilim adamlarının da uğrak yeri olmuştur. Bu şehrin yetiştirdiği Sabit b. Kurra ve el-Bettani gibi pek çok bilim adamı bulunmaktadır. Bu bilim adamlarından birisi de, yazımızın konusu olan, din bilimcisi ve Sicilya adasını fatihi Esed b. el-Furat elHarranî’dir
Because Harran was on the historic Silk Road, it was a visit to the scientists alongside the traders. There are many scientists such as Sabit b. Kurra and al-Bettani that this city has grown up. One of these scientists, which is the subject of our article, is the religious scientist and the fatihi of the Sicily island, Esed b. al-Furat al-Harranî.
