Âşık şiiri; yüzyıllardır birçok değişimlere uğrayarak bugüne değin uzanmıştır. Âşıklık geleneğinin en önemli temsilcilerinden biri de Aşık Mahzuni Şerif’tir. Araştırmanın amacı; Âşık Mahzuni Şerif’in şiirlerindeki halk kültürü unsurlarının ve şairin şiirlerinde bu unsurlardan hangilerine yer verdiğinin belirlenmesidir. Araştırma, Âşık Mahzuni Şerif’in “Aşka Başlarken”, “Kazak Abdal Gibi”, “Yuh Yuh”, “Köln Radyosunda”, “Dönmek Zor”, “Rest”, “Akarçay Tokat Festivali”, “İntizar”, “Düştü”, “İhsan Aktaş’a” şiirleri ile sınırlandırılmıştır. Şairin geleneksel kalıpların dışında ortaya koyduğu şiirlerinde geleneksellikten uzaklaştığı görülse de şiirlerinde halk kültürü unsurlarını kullandığı tespit edilmiştir. Bu çalışma, tam da bu noktada şairin geleneksellik ve modernlik arasındaki bağı kurması açısından önem teşkil etmektedir.
The poetry of love, which has undergone many changes for centuries, has been extended to this day. One of the most important representatives of the love tradition is the Love Mahzuni Sheriff. The purpose of the research is to determine which of the elements of the people’s culture in the poems of Aşık Mahzuni Sherif and which of these elements are included in the poems of the poet. The research is limited to the poems of Âşık Mahzuni Sherif "When Love Begins", "As Kazak Abdal", "Yuh Yuh", "In Köln Radio", "It's Hard to Return", "Rest", "Akarçay Tokat Festival", "Intizar", "Dasted", "Ihsan Aktaş". Although the poet appears to be distracted from tradition in his poems that they present out of traditional patterns, it has been found that in his poems he uses the elements of popular culture. This work is very important in this point in terms of the poet’s establishment of a link between tradition and modernity.
