Bu çalışma Matematik Gelişimi 6 Testi (Progress in Maths)’nın 60-77 aylar arasındaki çocuklar için geçerlik ve güvenirlik çalışmasını yapmak amacıyla planlanmıştır. Araştırma 2009-2010 öğretim yılında Ankara’da Milli Eğitim Bakanlığı’na bağlı, bağımsız anaokullarına devam eden 60-77 aylar arasında olan 334 çocuk üzerinde yürütülmüştür. Araştırma sonucunda test tekrar test korelasyon katsayısı r=95 bulunmuştur. Testin güvenirliğini belirlemek amacıyla iç tutarlık katsayısı hesaplanmış ve KR-20 değeri .81 olarak bulunmuştur. Analizler, 60-77 aylar arasında olan çocukların matematik yeteneğini ölçmede testin geçerlik ve güvenirlik düzeyinin yüksek olduğunu göstermiştir.
