Abstract:

In this study, it is to explore the relationship between the concept of spectrum (visual-diversity-diversity) and the process of creation of symbol-logues. The aim of the designs of the symbol and logo is to be questioned on the disciplinary thinking basis. The fact that the symbols and logos, the graphic design product, are the source of the visual paradigm and therefore the characteristics of the rapidly developing computer technology reality cannot be ignored is the main reason for this study. With the rapid development of the visual environment, it has made it possible for the graphic design field to be more perceived as an aesthetic-technical-mechanical field. The change process in the designs of the emblem/logo has led to the negligence of disciplinary fields. A symbol-logo design can evolve within the process. It can be influenced by different disciplines such as architecture, mathematics, physics, biology. In this context, in this study, a discussion on the design of the icon-logo was asked to be initiated in order to emphasize the change in question, the evolution. The term "succession" used in the field of biology is focused on the characteristics that are in the creation of the icon-logo design. The article discussed the influence of the different disciplines in the design process of the logo, and then discussed how the different disciplines can be exploited in the design process.
